Sorry I have to say that we mostly run R/P, signet of midnight mesmer and soul bind necro..
Then they're easy to beat, but with balanced it's harder yes..

GW has turned into gimmickway a long time ago, you'll hardly ever see a balanced team, and even when it's a balanced it still has OP stuff(read:WoD), well, if everybody used balanced the game would be boring, so it's good to have some gimmicks, but not ALL teams running gimmicks.

The good balanced teams use corrupt not wod.
Wod isn't as powerful anymore when 90% of the teams have 2+ healers.

Attracted by the recent skill update I decided to give TA one more chance and I must say I was very pleased. We took 30 matches and faced a healty mix of balanced (all CE but 1 WoD), lame (2x RaO, triple smite, R/P hexover) and RA leftover.
I was rly surprised how these RaO/smite builds were easy to beat. It was almost a joke compared to dual SoM which was ruining this arena for very long time.
We ran a hammer war, CE nec with FF but it wasn't even needed, magebane ranger and some weird monk template which consists of brutal healing power and dual stance but I was told this kind of monk was necessary in order to survive vs RaO teams.
We lost to R/P hexover but it was a very even game and we made a few mistakes so I think we deserved to lose and the match was fair.
Last time I played TA was like 2-3 months ago and it was a reign of SoM bullshit.
I will see after another run but so far TA seems to get improved.
